The 55th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of NAAL was successfully held on 29th March 2026, with the participation of approximately 40 members. The session was chaired by the President, Eng (Ms) Thamara Mallawaarachchi.
The event was graced by the Deputy Ambassador of the Royal Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Iwan Rutyens, who attended as the Chief Guest, adding distinction to the occasion.
During the AGM, a new committee was duly appointed to lead the association for the 2026/2027 term.
NAAL Annual Get-Together 2025 – A Day Full of Fun and Fellowship
The NAAL held its annual get-together on 12th October 2025 at the Green Garden Reception Hall, Kirulapone, with the participation of over 60 members of the NAAL family.
It was a full-day programme filled with music, singing, dancing, games, and networking — a day brimming with fun, laughter, and togetherness. All participants actively took part in the events, making the occasion truly vibrant and memorable.
Members from across the island joined this wonderful gathering, adding colour and warmth to the celebration.
This annual event was organised by the NAAL team under the leadership of President Eng (Ms.) Thamara Mallawaarachchi, and coordinated by Social Secretary Eng. T.L. Chandrasiri with the invaluable support of Vice Presidents Mr. Sarath Jayathilake and Archt. Planr Nihal Fernando, Treasurer Eng. Shantha Fernando, and Secretary Ms. Indira Samarasinghe. PC
At the end of the day, everyone expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the event — cherishing the joy, unity, and lasting memories they carried home.

54th Annual General Meeting of the Netherlands Alumni Association of Lanka was held on 30th March 2025 at the Organization of Professional Association, Colombo under the patronage of Her Excellency Bonnie Horbach, the Ambassador, Kingdom of the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Sri Lanka.

The last AGM was held on the 30th March 2023 as decided by the previous Executive Committee to conduct the AGM before the 31st March 2023 as mentioned in the constitution. Since the Executive Committee appointed on the 23rd October 2022, they had only four months to perform (From November 2022 to March 2023). The General Membership unanimously consented to allow the same Executive Committee (EXCO) to continue for the next year as well.
